I had to dig waaay back in the archives for this one but I'm glad I did because I see less and less people every year doing these and that's really too bad! Stern squirts are a great way to learn and understand edging, timing, balance and boat control, they usually end up with you practicing lots of rolls, and are just plain fun! Snow. I'm not sure if there is a more hurtful word to kayakers than snow. While some boaters pack away the paddling gear and pull out the skis, others spend there life savings and head south. Then there is a third category - the ones who go out and actually kayak in the snow. I suppose this article is really for all three types. The skiers can shake there heads, the travellers can point and laugh, and the others can go out an build this awesome snow ramp!

But where is all of this fear actually stemming from? Does it have to do with crazy big holes, undercut rocks, and waterfalls or is it something (or someone) else planting the seeds of fear in our mind? Read the article and tell us what you think?
