MKC will host it's final race as part of the MKC Open Canoe Fun Slalom Series on Wednesday August 18th.





MKC hosts the fun slalom series each summer with a number of races happening through out the season.

This years earlier season races were June 23rd and July 14th and saw quite a turnout.

Although racing sounds like pretty serious business the title of this series alludes to the fact that these races are all about fun.

Racers are asked to meet at 12:30pm in the MKC parking lot.

The race will be held in Chalet Rapids on the middle Madawaska which is just down the hill from MKC and is an excellent set of rapids for slalom racing.

Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and spectators are encouraged to come see the race.

Although racers are not required to have slalom racing experience MKC asks that everyone planning to race has prior whitewater canoe experience.
