If you were lucky enough to take on Lucifer (a massive hole on the Gatineau) last year and win then here's your chance to tempt fate yet again.
The Gatineau River is located in Québec (Canada), north of the Ottawa.
The headwaters is in Abitibi, and flows into the Ottawa River.
The section where the Festival is held is a few km downstream from Maniwaki is located 330 km (200 mi) north-east of Montréal, and 130 km (80 mi) north of Ottawa.
Festival headquarters and camping are right in the town of Maniwaki at École polyvalente Haute-Gatineau and all activities will depart from there.

The Maniwaki site, alongside the Désert River, is the designated camping ground during the event.
This location also serves as the headquarters during the whole weekend and subscription to the Festival package allows the participants to benefit from certain accommodations including showers in the high school and Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast.
This is also where the traditional white water sports equipment auction is held as well as the Saturday night party.
This is one river fest you don't want to miss. Information and registration is available at www.gatineau.org.
The Rapid crew will be there paddling the river, partying it up and handing out copies of Rapid.
Come by and say hi to get yours.
