At long last, first images and specs of the finalized design of the highly anticipated Esquif L'Edge solo whitewater canoe have been released. The L'Edge is headed to the mould manufacturers this week. Get a first look and find out how to pre-order here.

Esquif is planning for a late-May release of the L'Edge. Pre-production specs from designer Craig Smerda are as follows:

Length: 9'2"
Width: 28-1/2"
Center depth: 16" (slightly more on decked models)
End height: 20-21"
Volume: 149 gallons
Material: Rotomolded polyethylene
Flat, slightly arched bottom
Decked and Open options available (lower gunwales on the open version will accommodate those who sit a little lower or prefer a lower sheer line)

Price and availability: $1,653 US outfitted from Millbrook Boats, where the L'Edge is available for pre-order.
